A versatile, general-purpose workhorse, X10745TQ-E5 is well-suited to file & application serving, compute and virtualisation through support of the latest Intel Xeon E5-2600 v4 processors and DDR4 RAM.
Most-often specified in a dual-socket, integrated 12G SAS controller configuration, X10745TQ-E5 is also available as single-socket and/or SATA-only should intended usage, licensing or budget dictate. X10745TQ-E5 natively accommodates up to 8 pluggable LFF (3.5 inch) SAS/SATA hard drives and a further 3 front-accessible fixed 5.25 inch devices in a 450mm tall floor-standing chassis, however, may be reconfigured for an additional 5 LFF or 8 SFF (2.5 inch pluggable drives and 4U 19” rack orientation with optional accessories.

Ideal for the emerging Software Defined Storage (SDS) market characterised by ZFS, VSAN, MS Storage Spaces, etc where one or more software layers publish virtualised storage from many underlying disks. Fault-tolerance is achieved across the virtual array through block replication both within a disk chassis and across multiple chassis’.
4U X10847BE1C-E5 features internal support for up to 36 pluggable LFF (3.5 inch) hard drives and/or SSDs via dual SAS expander backplanes, and external JBOB cascade support for a further 204 devices. Typical configuration for SDS-only use is minimal CPU and memory, however, X10857BE1C-E5 does support up to two E5-2600 v4 processors and 2TB of RAM where mixed-task deployment, eg. presenting storage and hosting virtual machines, is desired. OS/boot may be from any of dual rear SFF (2.5 inch) SSD, Disk-on-Module (DoM) or internal USB.
Default configuration is with dual 10GbE-T networking; other options are also available dependent on OS boot configuration.
